Atta Mathri /Whole Wheat Mathri

MATHRI WITH TWIST made with whole wheat flour...healthy snack for kids,can be carried to picnics n school,even toddlers will love to eat it.






















Ingredients
Quantity
Wheat flour/Atta
2 Cup
Semolina/Suji/Rava
1/2 Cup
Salt
To taste
Celery seeds
1/2 tea spoon
Refined Oil/Desi ghee
To fry
Luke warm water
Half Cup

How to prepare

  • Take Wheat flour and add Semolina into it.
  •  Add around 1/4th cup of desi ghee( refined oil) into it. Mix it nicely.
  •  Add Luke warm water  into it so that it takes fist shape (as shown) .  
  • Add water in increments when it takes shape do not add water. 























  • Now knead it well into a tight dough do not add water
  • Make small balls and with rolling spin make small round flat roti from it. Make small holes in it with fork.

  • Heat oil in pan,when oil gets hot .
  • Add them in oil for frying.
  • When it gets a little brown take them out .
  • Mathri are ready to eat.
  • Serve them with pickle.

  Things to remember

  • Always add water gradually.
  • Knead the dough well.
  • Make mathri a little thick.
